Residence Halls & Apartments

Our residence halls and apartments offer quality facilities and valuable experiences for University of Minnesota students. Living in University housing is not required, which is why we work to keep our spaces competitively priced while maintaining a variety of amenities and support resources not offered by other rental properties.

Rather than tracking multiple accounts and invoices, we make it easy to pay all your fees in one place, so you can focus on what's important to you. Along with tuition, Housing & Residential Life charges are billed by semester to your student account and include room, furnishings, utilities, internet/TV, laundry, maintenance/repairs, dining (for those with meal plans), custodial services for common spaces, and 24/7 staff support.

Tentative 2021-22

The University of Minnesota Board of Regents review and approve on-campus housing and dining rates each year in June. The rates summarized below are intended for planning purposes and are tentative, pending final approval by the Board of Regents in June 2021. Visit Housing Options to review current 2020-21 rates by building.

Note: Building occupancy and community expectations are subject to change based on public health guidance and housing demand. Learn more about our current health and safety expectations on our COVID-19 Updates page.
