American Sign Language (ASL) House

If you are a member of the Deaf, hard-of-hearing, or American Sign Language communities, or are interested in learning more about these diverse communities, join the ASL House!

The ASL House is open to any student who wants to grow personally and academically, while enjoying the benefits of living in an inclusive community while using their ASL skills. We explore issues of self-identity, community identity, and culture by attending relevant events on and off campus. Additionally, we enjoy living in a multicultural, multilingual atmosphere that invites us to share our interests and passions. Anyone with an interest in the Deaf/hard-of-hearing community is encouraged to join us on our UMN adventure.

This house is a co-ed community located in Comstock Hall. Contact the LLC sponsor, Disability Resource Center, Paula Leahy-Schmidt at leahy031@umn.edu
