Greek Unity House

Join other students who are interested in also “going Greek” their first year!

Have an interest in “going Greek?" The Greek Unity House provides first-year students interested in joining a social or service fraternity or sorority the opportunity to explore how joining Greek life at the University of Minnesota can enrich their college experience. You will experience a variety of educational and social programs to engage in the Greek community with alumni and Greek Councils’ student leaders.

Here, you will begin your Greek journey founded on the four pillars of the University of Minnesota Greek community (leadership, scholarship, service, and friendship).

You will be introduced to chapters from all three Greek Councils (Interfraternity Council, Multicultural Greek Council, and National Panhellenic Council), giving you a unique understanding of Greek life that will allow you to make the best membership choice for your college career.

There are two Greek Unity communities available; one community is located in Bailey Hall on the St. Paul Campus, and in 17th Avenue Residence Hall on the East Bank in Minneapolis. Greek Unity communities provide students with an exceptional opportunity to engage in the traditions that take place within our historic Greek community while also enjoying the amenities of a traditional residence hall.
