Fraternity and Sorority Life Housing

Join other students who are also interested in fraternity and sorority life their first year!

Cultural Greek House

As a member of this community, you will have the opportunity to meet other students who are also interested in exploring membership in one of 15 culturally-based fraternities or sororities affiliated with the Multicultural Greek Council (MGC) and National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC).  MGC fraternities and sororities are culturally-based and special interest groups and NPHC fraternities and sororities are historically Black and African-American organizations, many of which have been on campus for over one-hundred years.

The intake process is more informal and, oftentimes, first-year students aren’t eligible to join until their second semester on campus.  Joining this interest wing allows you to learn more about each of these groups, better understand the requirements and processes to join and build community with other students who are interested.

This community is located in 17th Avenue Residence Hall on the East Bank.

Sorority Unity House

A community of first year students with an interest in joining one of our community’s 21 sororities, the Sorority Unity LLC supports students as they explore membership in a sorority and engage within that community.

In addition to exploring membership, students will benefit from access to events and programs that promote wellness and building effective networks, as well as identify opportunities for future involvement in both their sorority and greater campus community.  With representation from multiple sororities, students will share best practices and build networks that transcend individual chapters and unlock new opportunities.

Fourteen sororities are affiliated with the Panhellenic Council and eleven participate in a formal recruitment process at the start of the fall semester.  Four sororities affiliated with the Multicultural Greek Council and three sororities affiliated with the National Pan-Hellenic Council do intake in the fall and spring semesters.

This community is located in 17th Avenue Residence Hall on the East Bank.

Bailey Greek Unity

Designed for students with an interest in joining a fraternity or sorority located in Bailey Residence Hall on the Saint Paul campus; the Office for Fraternity & Sorority Life supports Alpha Gamma Rho and Farmhouse fraternities and Lambda Delta Phi sorority.

Early Recruitment House

Join a community of other students who have joined a fraternity prior to the fall semester. Many fraternities affiliated with the Interfraternity Council recruit new students over the summer.  he Early Recruitment Wing provides students with an opportunity to build community outside of the individual chapter they have joined.

To join this community, students are encouraged to contact fraternities directly or share your contact information with the Office for Fraternity & Sorority Life by emailing in May to learn more about the application process and events over the summer.
