Join a vibrant community of scholars, leaders, and change-agents. TRIO Students in the College of Education & Human Development! Engage in a vibrant multicultural community of scholars, leaders, and change-agents!

The TRIO Living-Learning Community (LLC) provides a home where TRIO students can knock on a door to find other TRIO students who all share similar lived-experiences at the U of MN.

Students in this LLC will have pathways to wonderful high-impact leadership experiences, such as the Annual TRIO Leadership Retreat, participation with the TRIO Student Alliance, engagement with the University YMCA programs, and much more.

Students will share many commonalities at a predominantly white institution (PWI), and our community is a safe-space for first-generation in college, low-income, students with disabilities, and students for whom English is not their first language.

Finally, students in this LLC have great access to their TRIO advisers and TRIO resources to help them be successful in their first year at the U.

This community is available for first-year residents.

TRIO Student Support Services has been my backbone since I entered this campus. TRIO Student Support Services saw what others may not have seen; they saw me and my potential. That's what TRIO is all about.

When you look at these other TRIO students, faculty, and staff, they are all incredible, and you think 'Gosh, they are brilliant.' We have ideas and innovations inside of us. We lean on each other, and we're a community. Sometimes, it may feel like you are not supposed to be here but you do. You really do.
