After receiving your keys, meet up with your helpers. Please unload your cart into your room right away. A staff member will stop by your room to return the cart to the unloading area.

Alternative Parking & Unloading

If you wish to consider an alternative to the unloading plan we have outlined, here are important points to keep in mind:

  • Street parking and meters around the Superblock are limited. If you choose to park at a meter, please be certain that your vehicle fully fits into the parking space and does not intrude into the traffic lane.
  • You must pay to park at meters in this location.
  • Trailers and large moving vehicles are not permitted.
  • UMPD traffic control will be present to assist in keeping traffic moving.
  • Parking contract holders have reserved spaces in lot C78, C5, and C6. These spaces are off-limits for unloading.
  • No unloading is permitted along either side of Harvard Street.
  • Parking or stopping on grass or vacant lots near the Superblock is not permitted.
  • The Fairview Hospital Ramp is reserved for hospital and clinic visitors. The University does not have any reciprocal parking privileges.

Yudof Hall

Welcome to Yudof!

You may arrive any time after 8:00 AM on August 15. You may choose to move in any time between then and September 2. The Business Office is open Monday-Friday from 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM. The information desk is staffed from 7:00 AM to midnight every day. A Community Advisor or Hospitality Specialist is on duty during times that the office is not open.

There are various construction projects on and near campus that may impact your route. Stay alert for detours. Starting August 12th through August 16th, there will be significant lane closures along University Ave, as well as no westbound access across the Washington Ave Bridge.

Due to construction, you must follow the specific directions below to arrive at Yudof Hall:

From I-35W
Exit at 4th Street/University Avenue. Proceed eastbound on University Avenue to 15th Avenue SE/Pleasant St. Turn right on 15th Avenue SE/Pleasant St. Follow this to Arlington St. Turn right at Arlington St for one block. Then turn left onto East River Road. Follow East River Road under the Washington Avenue Bridge and past Comstock Hall. Continue to the East River Road Parking Ramp.

From I-94
Exit at Huron Boulevard. Immediately at the end of the exit ramp, turn left onto Fulton Street. Fulton Street becomes East River Road just before the Harvard Street stop sign. You’ll then proceed forward along East River Road to the public level entrance of the East River Road Parking Ramp.

Parking & Unloading

Yudof Hall residents must unload vehicles within the East River Road Parking Ramp. Take a parking ticket upon entering and proceed to levels E, F, or G for unloading and parking. Take the elevator in the central portion of the garage to the Plaza Level (Level 1). From the Plaza Level, proceed toward Coffman Memorial Union and turn left before Delaware Street. The Yudof Hall entrance will be on your left.

You or your helpers will be able to check out a moving cart from Yudof Hall to use for moving your belongings from your vehicle into Yudof Hall. You will be able to pick up a parking coupon at the Yudof Hall information desk that will reduce the rate of your parking to $7.00 maximum for a full day. This coupon is only good for ONE day. You may get two coupons if you have a second vehicle for your move.

While unloading, please observe the following guidelines:

  • No stopping or unloading is permitted along Delaware Street.
  • Traffic enforcement ensures a full fire lane is maintained at all times.
  • There are limited meters in front of Comstock Hall that you may use if space is available upon your arrival. You must pay to park at these meters.
  • It is recommended to unload within the parking ramp.
  • Large carts are available for check out in the Yudof Hall lobby.
  • The height restriction for the East River Road Garage is 7 feet. Trailers are not allowed in the parking ramp.
