Radius utilizes Airwave Networks for both wired and wireless internet. It is easy to use and requires no additional software to set up.

Wired Ethernet Setup

Simply connect your device to the wall jack with an Ethernet cable and open a web browser to begin.

WiFi Setup

Wireless users can simply connect to the strongest Airwave-provided wireless access point (ex: Airwave-01-02).

You can connect to WiFi using almost any device with the 802.11 ac/n wireless standard, including Windows or Apple-based computers, mobile devices, and game consoles. If you’re unsure about what kind of WiFi your device supports, please consult your device’s user manual.

Devices that have 5GHz wireless capabilities (most newer devices) should utilize the available 5GHz Airwave connections for the optimal wireless experience. You might need to purchase a wireless 802.11 ac/n adapter to connect your computer or device to the wireless network. Please consult your device’s user manual or contact the manufacturer if you are unsure of whether your device supports these wireless capabilities.

Note: Using personal wireless routers reduces the quality of WiFi for the entire building; therefore, having a personal wireless router is against University policy

Connecting Devices

Residents are required to create an account with Airwave Networks using a web browser when they first connect a device to the network. Afterward, any device without a web browser (game systems, streaming devices, IoT equipment) will require the resident to contact Airwave Networks to register the device. Phones & tablets do not currently need to be registered.

There are multiple ways that a resident can contact Airwave Networks to register a device:

  • Call 1-877-778-9283
  • Live Web Chat
  • Live Chat via Airwave Networks resident app for Android and iOS
  • Registration request tool on Airwave Networks resident app for Android and iOS

The registration process may take up to 24-48 hours.


By using internet at Radius, you agree to the acceptable use and policy agreement.

Airwave Networks requires that you install (and regularly update) an anti-virus software package on your computer. Additionally, Airwave Networks strongly recommends that your operating system be up-to-date with all critical updates and security patches. Computers that are vulnerable to virus attacks may become infected with computer viruses, which can infect the entire Radius network. In such cases, network performance can be seriously compromised. Airwave Networks will disable internet access for any users who exhibit signs of viral activity.
