Points of Pride

I am a proud ambitious practitioner-scholar that strives to foster transformative student-centered experiences and critical thought through authentic story-telling. I am proud that my work is rooted in an ethic of love that recognizes the individual perspectives that shape the student experience. I am also proud that through discussing complicated social issues and identity-based complexities, I can empower students from every background to embrace their own sense of self-authorship in a community that cares. Alongside the people I meet on my journey, I am proud to be helping create a more social-just world.

My Favorite Quote / Motto/ Personal Philosophy

“Do the best you can until you know better. Then when you know better, do better.” - Resting in Power, Maya Angelou

Life Outside the U

I enjoy spending time with my family, friends, and loved ones whether that is here in Minneapolis or back home in Chicago and Milwaukee. I spend a majority of my time reading, discovering and listening to new artists/podcasts, solving puzzles or hosting socially-distant game nights. You can also find me working on crafty things such as practicing calligraphy, photography, or various DIY projects. I love exploring new places, so if you have ideas for my Minnesota bucket list let me know!
