Hospitality Business Specialist

Making summer school and events work.

Conference & Event Services coordinates youth, adult, academic and athletic groups on all three Twin Cities campuses and is seeking motivated team members for summer 2021. Hospitality Business Specialists help facilitate summer school and events including preparing check-in packets, confirming registration, tracking charges, and completing inventories.

Gain valuable leadership and administrative experiences as part of a friendly team. This is a great way to experience Minneapolis during the summer while meeting new people, increasing your customer service skills, and learning a ton! 

Benefits

  • $11.25 per hour
  • HBS staff may take one summer class (up to 3 credits) with prior written approval from the hiring supervisor.

Staff Safety

Following University Sunrise Plan and public health guidance, we are working to support our staff so they can work as safely as possible while maintaining protective measures to slow the spread of COVID-19. 

Staff will be required to wear face coverings (provided if needed), hand sanitizer and cleaning supplies will be provided in workspaces, enhanced cleaning and disinfecting will be conducted in high-touch areas, and staff should conduct self-checks for fever prior to each shift and report any illness to their supervisor.
