The University is proud to offer affordable cooperative, townhouse-style, and on-campus housing options for graduate students, students with families, and upper-division (junior and senior level) undergraduates.
Housing Co-ops
Housing & Residential Life contracts with two resident-managed cooperatives to provide housing for University of Minnesota students. Both properties are owned by the University but are independently managed as cooperatives.
Commonwealth Terrace
Located south of the University of Minnesota's St. Paul campus, Commonwealth Terrace is only a few blocks from the UMN bus line and has easy access to the freeway system.
Como Student Community Cooperative
Como Student Community Cooperative is approximately halfway between the St. Paul and Minneapolis campuses and is located on the Metro Transit bus line.
Townhouses
Located on the West Bank of the Twin Cities campus, close to downtown Minneapolis and the Mississippi River.
