Get hired and move in early!

Student workers are allowed move into their spaces early if you agree to help when new students arrive at the end of August. We will share more information about this during your interview.

We are also in the process of updating our student pay rates, so we will post updated information once it is available.

Volunteer Opportunities

Students looking for volunteer experience may be interested in the following opportunities to connect with neighbors and other student staff in their building community.

Health Advocates

These student volunteers are appointed as a health resource in their residence hall or apartment community in partnership with Boynton Health. Health Advocates attend a class every Tuesday from 2:30 pm to 4:25 pm, where they are trained to respond to common health-related issues.

Sustainability Advocates

This volunteer role calls on students who educate peers about zero waste and plan sustainability projects in their residence hall/apartment building. All students earn a Sustainability Advocate certificate and have the option to earn school credit while working in partnership with the University of Minnesota Recycling Program, Office of Sustainability, and Housing.
