Residence Halls & Apartments

Our residence halls and apartments offer quality facilities and valuable experiences for University of Minnesota students. Living in University housing is not required, which is why we work to keep our spaces competitively priced while maintaining a variety of amenities and support resources not offered by other rental properties.

Rather than tracking multiple accounts and invoices, we make it easy to pay all your fees in one place, so you can focus on what's important to you. Housing & Residential Life charges are billed by semester to your student account and include room, furnishings, utilities, internet/TV, laundry, maintenance/repairs, dining (for those with meal plans), custodial services for common spaces, and 24/7 staff support.

Tentative Housing Rates 2026-27

New rates must be finalized by the University of Minnesota Board of Regents, which typically occurs in June. The rates listed here for 2026-27 are tentative until that occurs.

You may also visit Housing Options to review current (2025-26) rates by building.
