Your current room may or may not be reserved for first-year students, Living Learning Communities, or other University programs. You will be notified via email if you are in a space that is eligible to stay in for the next academic year.
Review the accordions below for details on when and how to sign up for your space.
February 4, 2025
The application opens for current residents interested in campus housing for academic year 2025-26. Students currently studying abroad who lived on campus during the fall 2024 semester, are also eligible to apply for housing. Completing the application will enter you into the lottery with other current residents who are interested in returning to on-campus housing in 2025-26. It also allows you to access Roommate Search, if you are seeking roommates. It does not automatically place you in a room or apartment – that is an action you or a member of your roommate pair will take at a later step. You have until Tuesday, February 18 at 11:59 p.m. to complete the application and form a Roommate Pair.
Pro tip! More people will join Roommate Search over time so check back for new matches.
February 10, 2025
Keeler residents who want to retain their current space must complete the application and retain their space by Monday, February 10, at 11:59 p.m. If Keeler residents complete the application but do not retain their space, they will be entered into the lottery.
All students with a housing or dining accommodation facilitated by the Disability Resource Center must submit their application by this time.
February 18, 2025
The application is due by February 18, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. to be entered into the lottery. Roommate Pairs must also be finalized by this date.
February 20, 2025
All residents who submitted an application will receive an email with additional room sign-up information, including a date and time at which their room selection process can begin.
If you are a member of a Roommate Pair finalized prior to February 18, you will be assigned the same lottery number.
February 25 - 28, 2025
Students who filled out the application will be able to access the system according to their lottery information to choose their new space for 2025-26. Be sure to research room types and costs before selecting your new space. Residents interested in Gender Open Housing or a Living Learning Community, including our second year experiences, will select their LLC space at this time.
If you are part of a Roommate Pair, only one person should log in to make your selection.
Waitlist
Students who are not able to select their desired space will have the opportunity to join a Waitlist at the end of the room selection process. Students who did not complete an application prior to February 18 will be able to join the Waitlist by completing an application after February 28.

Second-Year LLCs
LLCs Open to All
What is a Living Learning Community (LLC)?
LLCs bring students to live together in a dedicated area of a building. Take advantage of the unique—and free—housing option to expand your college experience through exploration and collaboration.
Talk with friends and potential roommates about your plans ahead of time and create a Roommate Pair. Any student can create the Roommate Pair and send roommate invitations (be sure to accept your invitations!). The Roommate Pair should choose a person to act as room captain and select your desired space.
Pro tip! If you are a member of a Roommate Pair, you will be assigned a date and time to sign up for housing based on the lowest lottery number among the group members.
Gender Open Housing
Anyone interested in living in Gender Open Housing for the next academic year may reserve Gender Open space during Room Sign-up Selection.
Roommate Search
We use our Roommate Search tool for Room Sign-up to help those without roommates currently or anyone looking for additional roommates. Roommate Search asks students to answer several questions about themselves as well as about the type of roommate they would like. The tool will share matches based on your answers, and you can reach out to discuss being roommates.
Pro tip! More residents will be added over time, so check back often for new matches.
Review current rates by building online. Updated information will be posted here as it becomes available. The anticipated rate increase for next academic year is 4-6%.
General Contract Periods
- Keeler and Yudof*: August–May (*Optional summer contracts available)
- Residence Halls: September–December & January–May
A $200 Housing Guarantee is required to confirm your Room Sign-up selection. Students who do not submit a guarantee payment by the due date will have their selection canceled, and that space will be made available to other students. Students may submit a payment extension request on their application.
