Fall Move-In

Housing and Residential Life creates a staggered move-in schedule each year to ensure students can move in and get settled before the start of class. Move-in dates depend on whether you are assigned an apartment or residence hall. Residence hall opening dates are determined each year by the scheduling of Welcome Week and the first day of school.

Fall Break

Thursday, November 28 - Friday, November 29, 2024

All residence halls and apartments remain open during the November Break – there is no extra charge.

Please note
Dining halls and other M Food Co. retail locations will be closed. View dining hours on the M Food Co. website.
Some grocery stores and restaurants are open for limited hours from Thursday, November 28 to Friday, November 29, 2024; please plan accordingly.

Winter Break

THURSDAY, DECEMBER 19, 2024 - SATURDAY, JANUARY 18, 2025

Most residence halls are closed for winter break. Winter break housing is available for a fee, but residents may need to temporarily relocate to another building/space.

The apartments remain open over winter break, so residents may stay over break at no extra charge.

Spring Break

Summer Break

Summer housing options are available for students. You choose the exact dates you stay and pay a nightly rate. Summer assignments are based on room availability and the date applications are received.

Temporary housing is available to all newly admitted international students before the start of the fall semester. International Early Arrival Housing requests for domestic students are only approved for extenuating circumstances, and limited space is available.
