Community Advisors have one of the most amazing leadership opportunities on campus. CAs have the ability to dramatically influence the lives of other students while gaining important skills that will help them pursue their own dreams and goals.

All Community Advisors must meet the following criteria by the their position start date:

  • 2.5 cumulative GPA
  • Completed two, post-high school full-time semesters

 
A full-time semester is defined as 13 or more completed credits in a single fall or spring semester; incompletes and withdrawals do not count towards the 13 minimum credits for full-time standing.

Compensation

Community Advisors receive a single room and an unlimited Silver Meal Plan (which includes $100 Dining Dollars and unlimited access to dining center meals) in exchange for their appointment. Community Advisors are required to live on campus in their assigned space as a condition of the position. Accepting the position indicates a willingness to live and work in this space.

Additionally, each semester you will receive a $250 Student Housing Leader payment via the University payroll system.

The value of room and meal plan is not taxed. The $250 Student Housing Leader payment (received each semester) is taxed at the time it is paid.
