Community Advisors

Build relationships and belonging!

Community Advisors have one of the most amazing leadership opportunities on campus. CAs have the ability to dramatically influence the lives of other students while gaining important skills that will help them pursue their own dreams and goals.

All Community Advisors must meet the following criteria by the their position start date:

  • 2.5 cumulative GPA
  • Completed two, post-high school full-time semesters

A full-time semester is defined as 13 or more completed credits in a single fall or spring semester; incompletes and withdrawals do not count towards the 13 minimum credits for full-time standing.

How to Apply

The application for Community Advisors for the 2022-2023 academic year is now open. Please carefully review the information packet below prior to filling out the application.  Applicants will be considered for unique vacancies we are not able to staff through our current alternate pool and for the alternate pool of candidates.

What is the alternate pool? Although we offer CA positions to individuals in January and have a full team, we often have individuals who decide they do not wish to or can no longer continue in the role for the following year. In these instances, we will fill this vacancy with a person in the alternate pool of candidates.  We typically offer to most individuals in the alternate pool prior to August 2022 and all individuals by January 2023.

We welcome all applicants, including those interested in Living Learning Communities and those willing to work in any of our 13 communities.  We are especially in need of candidates who are willing to work in Bailey Hall, both for general CA positions and the Pre-Veterinary Science House Living Learning Community.

Selection Process Notes

  • Applications are due Monday, March 21 at 8 a.m.
  • All candidates will be required to participate in three selection activities during the week of March 28-April 1.  You will be able to indicate availability for the different processes on your application.
