Move-In for First Year Students

-

Incoming first-year students who have been assigned to a residence hall are encouraged to move in on August 26 or 27. We will have volunteers available to help you and your helper(s) unload your car. Lunch and dinner will be provided for meal plan holders in the dining halls.

To ensure Housing & Residential Life can facilitate a safe and organized move-in, all residents must reserve a Move-in Appointment. The length and timing of these appointments vary depending on student type and the day of the appointment.

First-year students: If you do not reserve your appointment by August 15, you will be assigned a move-in time.

Do you need to move in on Sunday?  We have limited early move-in appointments available during the afternoon and early evening on Sunday, August 25. You will be charged $38 for moving in early. Volunteers will not be available to help you move in, but we will have moving carts.

Move-In Guide

Please note: Some programs require students to move in earlier (for example: Marching Band, MCAE Kickoff, and certain student jobs). Students can choose to move in later, but assistance will not be available. Students assigned to live in an on-campus apartment can move in any time on or after August 15.

Missed this date?

First-year students can move in any time after August 27 but volunteer assistance will not be available. Students should still reserve a move-in appointment.
