These policies are in place for the convenience, safety, and full enjoyment of the Radius facilities by all members of the residential community.  In addition to the rules below, the use of any amenities by a resident and/or their guest(s) is contingent upon each person’s understanding of, and abidance by, Housing & Residential Life’s Community Behavioral Standards and the University of Minnesota’s Student Conduct Code. Use of building amenities may be regulated, denied, or restricted at any time by Housing & Residential Life.

Residents and guests must comply with all community standards regarding use of apartment rooms, common spaces, building amenities, and outdoor spaces including patios/balconies. Residents and guests must be considerate of others while using the amenities. If you have concerns, or notice unusual or dangerous circumstances at any facility or amenity area, please notify a Housing & Residential Life staff member or contact the University of Minnesota Police Department (UMPD) at 911.

• Only plants and outdoor furniture are allowed on patios and balconies. Furniture intended for indoor use, including furniture provided by Housing & Residential Life, is not allowed. The space is not designed to serve as storage space.
• Alcohol is prohibited on all common apartment patios and balconies, including for persons over the age of 21. Smoking of any substance, including the use of e-cigarettes, is also prohibited.
• No bicycles, motorcycles, or mopeds are allowed to be stored on balconies, patios, breezeways, courtyard areas, or under stairs.
• No items, such as laundry, clothing, rugs, flags, neon signs, or any other items deemed inconsistent with Housing & Residential Life’s Community Behavioral Standards, are to be hung on the exterior of any building structure.
• The use or storage of barbecue grills on apartment patios and balconies is prohibited.

• Use of the spa/hot tub area is restricted after 11 PM each night of the week. Anyone in the area after closing will be required to leave immediately.
• NO DIVING. Diving may result in injury or death. Jumping into the hot tub from windows, patios, fountains, or other nearby structures is prohibited.
• Alcohol is prohibited in all common areas, including for persons over the age of 21. Smoking of any substance, including the use of e-cigarettes, is also prohibited.
• Team sports such as football, baseball, kickball, soccer, dodge ball, etc. are not permitted to be played in the spa/hot tub area.
• For the safety of all, no glass of any kind is allowed in the spa/hot tub area.
• Profanity, reckless activity, disruptive behavior, or excessive noise will be immediate grounds for dismissal from the spa/hot tub area.
• Do not place electrical appliances (telephone, radio, TV, etc.) within five feet of the hot tub.
• You may not reserve the spa/hot tub area. Housing & Residential Life is unable to allow any type of large group gathering in the area. Pool parties are prohibited.
• Residents are limited to 2 guests per apartment in the spa/hot tub area. A resident must accompany all guests at all times.

• Use of the Clubhouse space is restricted after 11 PM each night of the week. Anyone in the area after closing will be required to leave immediately.
• Alcohol is prohibited in all common areas, including for persons over the age of 21. Smoking of any substance, including the use of e-cigarettes, is also prohibited.
• Use the Clubhouse kitchen facility with care. Do not remove or damage equipment and supplies.
• No running, fighting, dangerous conduct, or noise that disturbs others in the Clubhouse space.
• Do not leave personal items in this area after use, including in the common refrigerator or freezer. Housing & Residential Life is not responsible for any lost, stolen, or damaged items.
• No private signage of any kind is allowed in the Clubhouse or other common areas. All posted materials must be approved through Housing & Residential Life’s general guidelines for marketing in our residential communities.

• No food, glass, or open drink containers are allowed. Sports bottles or other non-spillable containers are welcome.
• No gym bags or other items are allowed on the workout floor.
• Alcohol is prohibited in all common areas, including for persons over the age of 21. Smoking of any substance, including the use of e-cigarettes, is also prohibited.
• Immediately report any needed repairs of facility equipment, doors, windows, or lighting to Housing & Residential Life staff. Do not attempt to make repairs to the fitness equipment.
• Please use headphones when listening to music.
• Use of fitness center equipment is monitored; all equipment must remain in the designated fitness area.
• Follow manufacturer’s directions for proper use of all fitness equipment.
• Fitness room hours are designated by Housing & Residential Life and will be posted.
• Report vandalism and unauthorized users.

• Use of the grills and fire pits are restricted after 11 PM each night of the week. Anyone in the area after closing will be required to leave immediately.
• Comply with all safety precautions. For the safety of all, no glass of any kind is allowed.
• Alcohol is prohibited in all common areas, including for persons over the age of 21. Smoking of any substance, including the use of e-cigarettes, is also prohibited.
• Use the barbecue grills and fire pit equipment only in the manner intended by the manufacturer. Handle equipment with care. Do not remove or damage equipment and supplies.
• Housing & Residential Life will not provide reservations for grill or fire pit use. We are unable to allow any type of large group gathering in these spaces.
• No fighting, dangerous conduct, or noise that disturbs others is allowed.
• Never leave a fire unattended. Do not leave until the fire is completely out.
• Keep flammable materials away from the fire, including potholders, oven mitts, wooden utensils, paper or plastic bags, food packaging, towels, etc.
• Clean the facility after use.
