    Move-In Guide

Prepare for Fall 2020

Community safety is our top priority. Physical distancing, self-monitoring, handwashing, and other healthy behaviors are pivotal to a successful return to campus.

Plan Ahead

We encourage all residents to develop contingency plans in case you are exposed to or test positive for COVID-19 and know that we are also developing plans to help you in the event an exposure happens. The Minnesota Department of Health has provided broad instructions to help you make a personal and family contingency plan in the event of exposure, and the CDC has additional information about managing through isolation or quarantine.

We are also recommending students bring personal health and safety items like digital thermometers, extra reusable cloth face coverings, and cleaning supplies with them this fall. Be sure to review What to Bring in addition to the other links below!

Move-in Prep

On Tuesday, August 4, residence hall students will be sent instructions to sign up for one of the two move-in options below, and schedule a required move-in appointment. Find more information on our Fall FAQ page.

Drop & Go (Aug 30 – Sep 1): This early option allows students to bring belongings to their room when the building is less congested and return home.

Move & Stay (Sep 2 – 7): This is our standard move-in period where students bring belongings and occupy their room.
